Besides the infamous death of Cecil the Lion there have been many hunters out there who continue to this day to slaughter innocent animals for amusement. These are some controversial hunting photos that have caused an upright stir in the media.

However, the 17-year-old’s fame was to be short lived when she posted a picture of herself hunting with the following caption:

“Hunting is not a matter of life or death. It’s much more important than that…this was about 1 year ago…ready to hunt Americans today haha.” After that L’Oréal announced that they were no longer working with the teenager.

4. TV Presenter from Minnesota, Melissa Bachman caused mass controversy after hunting a Lion and then posting the photo on her Twitter feed. She tweeted, “An incredible day hunting in South Africa! Stalked inside 60-yards on this beautiful male lion.

What a hunt!” She was constantly harassed on Twitter for her actions and consequently shut down her Twitter account. A petition on Change.org was even made asking the government of South Africa to ban her from the country! This was not the first creature she has hunted. Besides a Lion, Bachman has hunted many deer, turkeys, hogs, antelopes and even alligators.

3. 19-year-old cheerleader and student at Texas Tech University, Kendall Jones, sparked public outrage after posting several pictures on Facebook of creatures that she has hunted whilst posing next to them. Her first hunt was that of a Rhino at the age of 13 in South Africa and since then she has hunted many different animals across Africa including Antelopes, White Springbok, Zebras, Hippos, Lions and even Elephants! That is a lot of kills at a young age of 19!

The photos have sparked huge outrage among animal rights activists with two separate petitions calling for the removal of the images. Around 175,000 people have signed a petition on AVAAZ.org and there have been a further 9000 signatures on Change.org.

2. Sabrina Corgatelli, faced an angry backlash after posting an image on Social Media of her posing next to a dead giraffe that she shot. After killing the giraffe she wrote, “Such an amazing animal!! I couldn’t be any happier!! My emotion after getting him was a feeling I will never forget!!!”

Although she has been branded as “deranged” and a “disgrace to humanity” she vows to carry on hunting. Before her trip, the defiant University Accountant posted a meme of Leonardo DiCaprio on her wall accompanied by the message: “To all the haters. Stay tuned, you’re gonna have so much more to be p***** off about.” During her trip to South Africa, Sabrina hunted a kudu, an impala, a wildebeest and a warthog. Corgatelli has even posed over the corpse of a lion, apparently slain by her boyfriend.

1. In July 2015 Cecil the Lion’s death triggered a massive uproar in the media. Cecil was one of the world’s most recognizable Southwest African Lion because of his rare black mane. He was the star attraction for thousands of tourists who travel to the Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe every year.

The 13-year-old lion was brutally slaughtered by a middle-aged Dentist from Minnesota by the name of Walter Palmer. It is believed that Palmer reportedly paid $50,000 US dollars to a professional guide, Theo Bronkhorst, to enable him to kill a lion. Cecil was allegedly lured out of the sanctuary where he was maimed with an arrow from a crossbow and then tracked 40 hours later where he was killed with a rifle. He was then skinned and his head was removed.

In a statement, Palmer — who is now wanted by Zimbabwean police — believed the hunt he was on was legal. He said, “I had no idea that the lion I took was a known, local favourite, was collared and part of a study until the end of the hunt. I deeply regret that my pursuit of an activity I love and practice responsibly and legally resulted in the taking of this lion.”

I’ve worked at a lot of different jobs in my life, but there are a few I’d never like to try: picking crops on a farm, working in a chicken processing plant, and working in any kind of factory. The relentless assembly lines and the noise of the machines would be hard to deal with. Even those factories without deafening machines still seem like harsh places to work, if only because of the cadence they impose on employees.

Whatever device you’re reading this article on was built in a factory, most likely in China. In this country, not known for its pleasant working conditions, all the major computer manufacturers have their devices built and assembled. Including Apple.

Apple has been publishing Supplier Responsibility Progress Reports on its website since 2007, detailing the efforts the company has made to improve the conditions of workers. (You can read this year’s report right here.)  But has it made a difference? This is what journalist Richard Bilton set out to find. The BBC ran a documentary last night on its Panorama program (roughly the British equivalent of 60 Minutes, except each show is a full hour about a single topic). He wanted to know whether the conditions in Apple’s plants had improved since the company promised, following a series of suicides at a Foxconn plant in 2010, to improve them.

The film starts by claiming to tell “the truth about Apple and your iPhone,” and begins by looking at the “fanatics to the cult of Apple” on the day of the iPhone 6 launch. (To be fair, the journalist is an Apple user, and points out, at the beginning of the documentary, that he uses an iPhone and a “MacBook.”) Then it looks at why Apple uses China to manufacture most of their hardware: With 1 million workers making Apple products, no other country can provide so much labor so cheaply.

The BBC journalist went to Shanghai, to a Pegatron factory; a grim mini-city where 80,000 workers live in overcrowded dormitories around the plant. Pegatron got contracts to work for Apple following the 2010 incidents, but conditions at its factories seem no better. Three Chinese journalists went into the factory with hidden cameras, showing the process from hiring to training to actual work days.

From the hidden-camera footage, it looks a lot like that 1984 that Apple showed, three decades ago, in its famous TV commercial. It’s a stark difference from the glossy videos that Apple shows demonstrating robots that meticulously craft the company’s products.

“Three women, aged 19, 22, 27 and 37, have been arrested after they were caught by the immigration staff for trying to travel to Sri Lanka on on fake visas. Around 1pm on Wednesday, the staff at immigration counter found their visas were forged and called in CISF personnel, who then handed them over to Delhi Police. The women have alleged their visas were arranged by two Nepalese men, Ganesh and Lacha,” said Dinesh Gupta, DCP, IGI.

The programme was inaugurated by Sherdan Rai, Minister of Information and Communications Technology. The trailer was then jointly launched by Dinesh DC, chairperson of Film Director Society, along with some members of the cast. Inaugurating the event, Rai said: Directed by Basanta Niraula, the film features actors Aryan Sigdel, Dhurba Dutta, Pabitra Acharya and Archana Gelal, among others. He said a special class mechanical engineer cannot become secretary at the finance ministry but can be promoted only under the technical service. So far, special-class officers (secretary-level) were eligible for transfers to other service categories.Minister for General Administration Lal Babu Pandit on Wednesday said the recently-amended Civil Service Act bars transfer of civil servants from one service category to another. Organizing a press meet at Singha Durbar to inform about the amendments to the Civil Service Act approved by parliament, he said civil servants from now onward shall be transferred or promoted only within the service category in which they started their service. The fourth amendment to the Civil Service Act has six service categories for special class civil servants (secretary level) — Nepal Administration Service, Nepal Agriculture and Forest Service, Nepal Legal Service, Nepal Foreign Service, Nepal Administration Service and Nepal Auditor Service.

Nepal with a score of 27 out of 100 ranks in 130th position, slipping by four positions from last year, states the report titled 'Corruption still rife but 2015 saw pockets of hope'. Bhutan -- the least corrupt country in the region -- ranks 27 out of 168 countries, with a score of 65. Last year Nepal was placed 126th with a score of 29. Globally, Nepal is the 16th most corrupt country. According to the report, overall weak governance and politics has dragged the country down. Nepal is the third most corrupt country in South Asia and 15th globally, according to Transparency International (TI).Nepal continues to perform poorly and has been one of the most corrupt countries, according to the report. Conflict and war, poor governance, weak public institutions like the police and the judiciary, and a lack of independence in the media characterise the lowest ranked countries.

In the meantime, U.S. officials must follow laws that demand that the government consider the best interests of the children once they cross the border and get processed into an already overburdened system.

“It is almost an impossible mission” for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP), W. Ralph Basham, who was the CBP commissioner from 2006 to 2009 is now a founding partner of the Command Consulting Group, told CBS News. “You have parents who are willing to allow their children to be turned over to, in many cases, total strangers, sometimes coyotes, transporting them through multiple countries in order to dump them on the doorstep of the United States. It’s a very difficult thing for the United States to turn them away.”Legally, the United States cannot turn away many of the 52,000 children who have crossed the U.S.-Mexico border alone since the beginning of last October. Border patrol agents can turn back any Mexican children at the border but those from non-contiguous countries – mostly Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala – are taken into custody and must be transferred into the care of the Office of Refugee Resettlement (an agency within the Health and Human Services (HHS) Department). They will care for the children while they seek to place them with relatives or guardians within the United States as they await deportation proceedings.

Historically, the terms "Gurkha" and "Gorkhali" were synonymous with "Nepali," and derived from the hill town and district of Gorkha from which the Kingdom of Nepal expanded.[1][2] The name may be traced to the medieval Hindu warrior-saint Guru Gorakhnath[3] who has a historic shrine in Gorkha.[4] The word itself derived from Go-Raksha, raksha becoming rakha.Rakhawala I'm Hindu means protector and is derived from raksha as well.

Although the Gorkhas found in Himachal are mostly from Nepal, there have been reports of non-Nepalese Gorkhas (such as Thai Gorkhas, Naga Gorkhas and Chinese Gorkhas). There are Gurkha military units in the Nepalese, British and the Indian army (Gorkhas) enlisted in Nepal. Although they meet many of the requirements of Article 47 [5] of Protocol I of the Geneva Conventions regarding mercenaries, they are exempt under clauses 47(e)&(f) similar to the French Foreign Legion.[6]

Senior leader Hridayesh Tripathi was born on June 18, 1959 in Guneparseni-3 of Kathahawa. He is the son of Hari Shankar and Kunti Devi Tripathi. A graduate in political science from the Institute of Oriental Science, Russia, Tripathi plunged into politics by joining the leftist movement in 1974. He is a clever player of the politics who practically enjoyed his existence in as many political parties as he can. His modest beginning in politics was from the Communist Party led by Keshar Jung Rayamajhi. He was with the Nepal Sadbhavana Party (Anandidevi), before he and Mahanta Thakur of the Nepali Congress broke away to form the Terai Madhes Democratic Party (TMDP) in the wake of the Madhes Andolan. He represented Nepal Sadbhavana Party (Anandidevi) in the dissolved House of Representatives. In the first Constituent Assembly Election of 2008, he received 10,029 votes from Nawalparasi-6, defeating his closest rival NC’s Debkaran Kalawar . Kalawar received 9,856 votes while another opponent UCPN-Maoist’s Rahit Prasad Kewat received 5,749 votes. Former vice chairman of TMDP and former deputy leader of parliamentary party, Tripathi was assigned with various portfolio of the cabinet in different time period. His political career includes two year underground life, 8 month exile and 21 month political prison.

Most of us are not aware of what an actuary does and the importance of the role in an insurance company. Undoubtedly, an actuarial job may seem quite boring, but it is one of the most challenging and high-paying jobs. If you are a math or statistics genius, then this may be the perfect career for you. The actuary's main responsibility is assessing/quantifying risk and developing means of mitigating risks. Actuaries are largely known for their work in the insurance and pension fields, where they design financially secure benefit programs to protect customers. Let's take a look at the role, certification process and career advancement of an actuary.

What is an Actuary?
Actuaries are the financial engineers of the insurance industry, specializing in either life and health insurance or property and casualty insurance. Basically, they formulate probability tables or employ highly advanced dynamic modeling methods that predict the probability that a potential event will generate a claim. From these tables, they ascertain the amount of money needed for claims payouts.

Different actuaries have different roles and may work for insurance companies or consulting firms, as well as in other businesses. They may be involved with devising a new retirement program for a company or even calculating the impact of laws banning car-cellphone use in automobile losses and determining suitable rate discounts. For instance, in property insurance, property and casualty actuaries compute the number of claims likely to result from natural catastrophes. The actuaries take into account the property's location, construction and several other factors before determining the premium.
